Christmas 2013

Christmas came and went in a flurry this year! The house is still a mess and I'm ready to start taking down all the decorations and finding homes for the new toys. :-)

We all had a great time at my parents' on Christmas Eve and then at our house on Christmas Day. Santa was pretty tired, as he/she stayed up late building Legos for multiple nights in a row leading up to Christmas! The boys were very excited and loved everything, and that made it all worth it.

Now we are enjoying downtime at home before Jeremy goes back to work and the kids go back to school in January.

Here are some highlights from Christmas Eve:

It was a very "trainy" sort of Christmas ;-)

And Christmas Day:

Santa came!

Tyson working the Lego crane

"This is the best Christmas ever!!"

Goofballs!

Holiday Happenings Around our House

This is my third and final blog post of the day! I've been so wrapped up in finishing photo sessions and sewing orders that I haven't been snapping or posting as many pictures of the boys. The month of December was getting away from me, but this week I finally got somewhat caught up and we did our Christmas traditions such as decorating gingerbread men and Christmas cookies, visiting Santa at the mall, and driving around to check out the lights (especially their favorites, those synched to music). We did have our first big snow but I forgot to take any pictures when we played outside in it. It's mostly melted now!

The boys couldn't be any more excited about the upcoming holiday, and the cute advent calendar from my parents has really helped with the countdown and having something fun to look forward to each day during the month of December! We also had a nice early Christmas visit with Jeremy's parents this past weekend.

Here are some recent snapshots from around the house...
