First Day of School

Today both kids started school! I can hardly believe how fast the summer went by, but in a way we were very ready for school to start!

Tyson is in full-time Kindergarten and Miles is in half-day (three days per week) preschool. They are both going to a new school and had a great first day. I was really proud of them! It was only a partial day but they both seemed to enjoy it and they like their new teachers. The next two days are early dismissals for Tyson, but I get to send my first school lunch tomorrow! I'm actually very exciting about packing school lunches. We'll see how long that lasts. ;-)

We can't wait to see what new milestones and experiences this school year will bring!

Lake Geneva Trip

We just got back from a family trip to Lake Geneva. With an indoor waterpark and multiple pools and slides at our hotel, we were in the water A LOT! No complaints from the boys there.

We also enjoyed playing at the beach, taking a boat tour of the lake (ok... maybe I'm the only who enjoyed that), visiting a farm/petting zoo and animal gardens, watching a bird show, riding a train, eating lots of ice cream, and more.

Here's the link to when we went to the same place over two years ago. Check out the two photos of the boys in front of the Lego moose. :-)

Playing on the rocks outside our room

Enjoying treats while walking around downtown

They LOVED feeding the animals at the petting zoo

I think they would take pony rides all day if we let them

Could it be? Tyson is petting a dog!!

Miles was this smiley for part of the boat ride

The boys loved the giant sandbox!

We were only gone a few days but it was just the right amount of time for a family getaway before school starts next week!
