100th Day of School

The boys just completed their 100th day of school! They celebrated by doing all kinds of activities and snacks that relate to the number 100.

They each brought in collections of 100 items for the school "museum". Tyson chose Pokemon cards and Miles went with Minecraft diamond blocks (or a close representation).

Notable Kid Quotes of 2015

These boys are always cracking us up, and I'm so glad I started recording their notable quotes in a document on my laptop a few years ago. Last year I posted a round-up of funny quotes from 2014, and now I finally got around to compiling favorites from 2015 as well.

Hope these make you laugh, or at least shake your head and smile. Enjoy!

Deer Silhouette Nursery Pieces

I had fun working on these items for a baby boy's nursery. You know, awhile back I wanted to put fake antlers up in our house, but Jeremy just wasn't having it. Sewing up these nursery pieces with deer silhouettes on them was the next best thing! Haha. I hope baby Tate enjoys his soft and cozy items. :-)

Winter Ice Storm + Getting Started in 2016

Last week we had a crazy winter ice storm. Ice coated everything and the wind just howled all day long. We experienced a ton of tree damage, which was unfortunate but pales in comparison to flooded basements, home damage, and long losses of power that many people in our area experienced.

Christmas Recap

We had a fun, relaxing Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Hope you all did too! We have been lounging at home quite a bit this winter break and I'm really enjoying it. However, the kids will be back to school on Tuesday and it will be nice to be in a regular routine again too.

Here are some highlights from our holiday. Christmas Eve was held at my parents' house. We had a delicious meal and really had a nice evening with everyone. My Grandma recently moved in temporarily with my parents, and the house and decorations all looked so cozy.
